Austin was the King of Oberin until his brutal murdering orchestrated by his second wife, the Queen Lyrel, with the help of Aureil and Sam II.

Austin had a son from his first marriage, the prince Ian, who succeeded him on the throne. From Lyrel, he had two other children, the prince Ceril and the princess Sophie.
