The Alliance is a criminal organization and one of the primary threats to the towns and cities of Oberin ever since the year 425, alongside the Black Hand. The name originally referred to a pact between trolls, giants, and brigands, but over time grew to describe the central faction of the Hand. This usage of the name became increasingly common in 438, when the tripartite split of the Hand became complete. The Alliance was one faction, the D.D.D. another, and Marthonis the third.
For many years, the Alliance was led by the notorious villains Duchess Tirana and the Twins, until their defeat in the War of 438. Now, the continued existence of the Alliance is uncertain, but the Black Hand continues to be a threat, and so only time will tell.
